PROUDLY AUSTRALIAN MADE AND OWNED

ELECTRO POLISH
Deka uses a sophisticated surface finishing technique.
This activity slowly erodes a thin surface layer from jewellery
resulting in MICRO smoothing. High spots or
protrusions are removed preferentially so the surface is
extremely smooth and crevice free. The ultra clean surface
present on electropolished finishe body jewellery removes
bacterial activity. An imperfect surface will also heighten
rejection possibilities. Electropolishing is widely used
for surgical implants, food and beverage and Pharmaceutical
industries. Your health is our concern - this improved efficiency
on Deka jewellery is far superior to any other surface
quality on steel body jewellery produced by other methods.

HOW TO MEASURE JEWELLERY SIZE
Jewellery is measured inside diameter = I.D
I.D measure taken between the balls or inside the middle
of the ring. To measure piercing size measure the length
between holes in skin when piercing is relaxed.
(Navel must be lying down).
Correct size of jewellery is advisable.

METALS

316L SURGICAL STAINLESS STEEL
316L Stainless is the industry standard for Body piercing jewellery.
The minute addition of nickel 316L and other alloys greatly contri-
butes to its spectacular barrier to corrosion. Unlike cheap low grade
jewellery 316L surgical stainless DOES NOT INDUCE nickel dermatitis
because the alloy binds the nickel so firmly that sweat cannot
liberate nickel salts. If there is no nickel release there is no nickel
sensitisation fantastic barrier to corrosion.

GOLD
9ct Gold is 37.5% gold and 62.5% alloy metal.
18ct Gold is 75% gold and 25% alloy metal.
18ct is the most suitable metal for piercings because of the high
percentage of gold content with minimum metal alloy. 18ct gold is
a purer metal providing superior healing. 9ct is less inert and more
inclined to create piercing infections and increase the rate of
jewellery migration. Most people can successfully wear 9ct and
Sterling Silver in their ears and noses only. 9ct is generally not
used for any other piercing.

NIOBIUM & TITANIUM
Unlike Surgical Steel and other implantation alloys, Niobium is a
pure element which cannot be sub-divided into further components.
It is hypo-allergenic (safe to introduce to the body without adverse
reaction) and as a reactive metal can be coloured.

Titanium is a lustrous white metal with amazing strength, low density
and excellent corrosion resistance ideal for medical implants and is
safe for body implantation.
